With so many options today it’s tough to find the cheapest cell phone plans for 2011. There are three main service providers in Canada; Rogers, Bell, and TELUS. There are lots of phone plans available ranging from cheaper plans to more expensive and full coverage plans, student cell phone plans in Canada are also available, as well as pay as you go and family plans. You shouldn’t be looking for the simply the cheapest cell phone plans 2011, you should be looking for the best value overall that’s what is implied by saying cheapest.

For all of these options you may choose one of the following features (for all plans):

Unlimited local network calling

Unlimited my5 Canada wide talk and text

5 pm early evening calling

The individual plans range from $40-$60 a month.

$40- 200 minutes, unlimited from 6 pm, and unlimited social networking and texting.

$50- 300 minutes with unlimited evenings and weekends starting at 6pm, unlimited social networking and texting. 

$60- 450 minutes with unlimited evenings and weekends starting at 6pm, unlimited social networking and texting, and 500 MB of internet usage.

Rogers student cell phone plans in Canada range from $45-$60 a month

$45- 300 minutes with unlimited evenings and weekends starting at 6pm, unlimited social networking and texting. 

$55- 300 minutes with unlimited evenings and weekends starting at 6pm, unlimited social networking and texting, and 500 MB of internet usage.

$60- 300 minutes with unlimited evenings and weekends starting at 6pm, unlimited social networking and texting, and 1 GB of internet usage.  Also includes data sharing.

Family plans

$100- 600 shared minutes, unlimited from 6pm, unlimited social networking, and 1GB of shared internet usage.

$120- 800 shared minutes, unlimited from 6pm, unlimited social networking, and 1GB of shared internet usage.

Bell

Bell

Blackberry only plans:

$40- 150 minutes with unlimited social networking.

$40- 150 minutes with unlimited personal e-mail and instant messaging.

Smartphone plan:

$50- 200 minutes, 500MB of data, unlimited social networking

The simple packages range from $30-$55 a month, all include one of the following:

Unlimited nights and weekends starting at 6pm (otherwise starting at 9pm with free weekends)

There are no student cell phone plans in Canada for bell.

TELUS

Voice and data plans range from $50-$100, free nights and weekends start at 9p;, all come with voice mail, call waiting, and conference calling.  May choose one of the following:

 Unlimited text, picture, and video messaging

Unlimited nationwide talk and text with 5 of your favourite numbers

Double anytime minutes

$50- 200 minutes, 500MB internet usage

$65- 300 minutes, 1GB internet usage

$100- 600 minutes, 5GB internet usage

I Hope this article has given you some information and helped you decide which cell phone to go with.  As you can see there are plenty of options for student cell phone plans in Canada, individual plans, and family plans.  From what I have seen I would have to say that Rogers supplies the variety of plans with the best rates. But don’t take my word for it, decide for yourself between Rogers, Bell, or TELUS

why is wind mobile not on here that is by far the cheapest

Wind mobile is great as long as you don't leave the very small coverage area - take a look at the coverage map....maybe one day!
